In addition to his coaching duties, he also served as the summer camp director and was a beloved member of the coaching staff. He was just 30 years old and is survived by his wife Lacie, his two young children Estella and Camilla, and his parents. He started his coaching journey at Tarleton in 2015 after a successful four-year playing career as a two-time All-LSC linebacker. During his senior campaign, Martinez achieved a remarkable feat by reaching the 100-tackle mark, which led the team. Throughout his playing career, he played in 35 games and was part of the 2013 Lone Star Conference Championship team. His impressive statistics include two interceptions, four forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, 253 total tackles (119 solo), 17.0 tackles for a loss, and seven deflected passes. These achievements are a testament to Martinez’s skill, hard work, and dedication to the sport.
